Why uniforms matter

Clear expectations around uniforms help ensure players are easily identifiable, teams look cohesive, and matchday runs smoothly for volunteers, officials and families.

This Uniform Policy applies to:

  • MiniRoos
  • Youth
  • Skills Acquisition Program (SAP)
  • Women’s
  • Men’s

Uniform requirements may vary slightly by competition or program, but core standards apply across the club.

All players are expected to wear:

  • Official BBFC playing jersey
  • Official BBFC shorts
  • Official BBFC socks

Shin pads are mandatory for all matches and training sessions. Players must be correctly attired to take the field in line with competition rules.

BBFC Miniroos - 6 to 11
BBFC SAP - 8 to 11
BBFC Youth - 12 to 16
BBFC Women
BBFC Men

Players are encouraged to wear:

  • BBFC training apparel where available
  • Appropriate footwear for surface and conditions

Training attire must be safe, practical and suitable for football activity.

  • Numbered jerseys are allocated by the club or team manager
  • Jerseys must not be altered, swapped or permanently modified
  • Jewellery must be removed before training & matches
  • Appropriate footwear and shin pads are compulsory

Players and families are responsible for:

  • Caring for club-issued uniforms
  • Washing and returning items in reasonable condition
  • Returning all club-issued gear at the end of the season

Lost or damaged items may need to be replaced.

BBFC uniforms represent the club and community. Players are expected to:

  • Wear club kit respectfully
  • Avoid inappropriate behaviour while wearing BBFC apparel

Uniforms should not be used for unrelated activities without approval.
